Painted cast iron weight has a chip-resistant paint that is corrosion-resistant and conforms to NIST Handbook 105-1 standards. The weight meets ASTM E617, Class 7 specifications for rough weighing operations in physical and chemical laboratories, and for force-measuring apparatus.
