The 676RE 32-channel optical power meter is based on proven 1mm indium-gallium-arsenide (InGaAs) photodetectors specially manufactured for RIFOCS Corp. Offering a measurement resolution of 0.001 for linear nW units, the 676RE 32-channel optical power meter can capture the slightest attenuation changes, making it ideal for a variety of multi-channel fiber optic measurements. The 676RE optical power meter can measure power levels between +3 and -70dBm, well within the dynamic range of typical fiber optic systems. Manual operation of the 676RE optical power meter, via the 671R or 700R controller modules, is simple and intuitive. Measurement data, calibrated wavelengths, and other information is easily read on the display of either controller. A GPIB/IEEE-488 interface incorporated in the controller module enables the 676RE 32-channel optical power meter to be operated from a remote terminal using basic commands. Operation of the 676RE optical power meter can also be automated using fiberWORKS™ application software, such as the Stability Environmental Test System (SETS), which logs measurement data and controls the temperature cycling of an environmental chamber. The 676RE 32-channel optical power meter incorporates Snap-On Connector (SOC) interfaces and can be used with a wide range of industry standard fiber optic connectors and other less common types. The SOC interfaces are also easy to clean, ensuring optimal measurement accuracy and repeatability. A full set of 32 customer-specified SOC adapters are included with each 676RE module.
