This is a great duplicator for anyone who prints newsletters, bulletins, mailings, envelopes, carbonless forms. It does it quick and cheap. No other duplicator can print 100 copies as cheaply as Riso. The Riso GR3750 has been stored for a few years (heated and inside) and the ink in the drum has thickened. It does run, it will make a master, it's just that the drums will have to be cleaned. You can clean it yourself, there are plenty of suggestions on the Web. Or, you can take to a dealer. Or buy a drum on eBay for a few hundred dollars. Here are the features: -- Print speed: up to 120 pages per minute -- Scanning Resolution: 400 x 400 dpi -- LCD display -- Confidential mode -- Maximum Image Area: 10.7" x 16.5" -- Maximum Paper Size:11"x17" -- Minimum Paper Size: Postcard What's included -Duplicator with less than 600,000 impressions,and less than 2000 jobs. These machines are heavy duty and can run into the tens of millions of impressions. -Printer stand -Three drums: Black, red, blue -Ink: Questionable, they are over the three year recommended shelf life. -Risograph Computer Interface: You can hook up your computer and send your text and postscript files right to the duplicator. Have used Quark, Pagemaker programs to design then print direct. It has an Appletalk and serial interfaces. So, older Macs (pre OS10) and Windows with serial port and operating systems XP and older will communcate with the Riso. Someone with computer skills, a serial printer card and XP emulation could probably get this to work with the newer Windows operating systems. This system sold new for over $13,000. You can get a new Riso for about $4,000 (not as well built IMHO) It ain't perfect but with a little imagination and a little work it would make great office assistant in a church, community organization or have your own in house print shop.
