This Risograph-RN2030UI has been lightly used by us in our printing operation. It is surplus to our needs so we have refurbished the machine, including replacing the 12 bands that take the used master sheet to the disposal bin (the rubber goes brittle with age, replaced with improved spec bands). The printing drum has been dis-assembled, cleaned and reassembled and the machine tested. These machines often print well into the millions of impressions and are reliable workhorses. A Risograph duplicator gives you the speed and low per copy cost of a printing press in the footprint of a copier. It is best used for jobs where you require hundreds or thousands of copies of text or line art graphics. Grayscale images are less successfully produced by such a machine, but there are buttons to select a grayscale image option, though I find that the text is noticeably softer when this is used. Typical users of such machines are large schools, churches, businesses wanting lots of flyers to hand out where cost is more important than best quality. At top speed it will produce nearly 8,000 impressions an hour and if the copious output hopper fills up it can shoot printed sheets clear across a workshop (I speak from experience here). The machine prints with black ink. Extra drums can be purchased from time to time on ebay so you could print in a different color by swapping the drum (they slide out easily). First copy time takes approximately 20 seconds for a letter sized sheet whilst the original is scanned and the master made. The machine then outputs a test print to check for position and quality. Printing can then commence at speeds between 3,600 and 7,800 copies per hour. Copies emerge slightly damp as printing ink rather than toner is used, so for heavy ink coverage lower print speeds are best used. Originals up to 11” x 17” can be scanned, whilst the maximum output image is up to 8.2"x14". An original can be enlarged or reduced from 50% to 200%. The input/output bins have a capacity of 1,000 sheets of standard copy paper. The machine operates off a standard US 110 volt supply. The duplicator is in excellent condition, though some of the plastic has yellowed slightly and the stand has some rust spots on one side. I will include a manual and service manual on disk with the duplicator. Dimensions are 51"x25.4"x41.1" and weighs 209# without the stand. The machine is fully working and comes with a metal cupboard on wheels for it to sit on. Spare masters and ink are included. We have strapped the wrapped duplicator and stand onto a pallet ready to be loaded onto a truck by our forklift. Total weight is less than 290 pounds. The pallet measures 48” x 40” and the combined duplicator and pallet stand 32” high. We can arrange shipment or you can use your own shipper. There are several shippers who will ship a pallet load within New England very economically. We’ve used Ross Express in the past and shipped pallet loads for less than $100. Obviously the cost depends on where you are located, but we've found the shipper recommended by eBay to be expensive. Pick up at our premises in Colebrook, NH is of course possible if you are looking for an excuse to visit the Great North Woods. This item is relisted due to a non-paying bidder. Please note: This is not a copier, it is a duplicator. It is also heavy so shipping can be expensive if it has to go a long way. Within New England I can get a shipping quote around $100. To get it 1,650 miles to Miami would cost $350, and as to California, that would be more than the machine costs. Shipping will depend where you want it to be shipped to and whether you require a truck with a tail-lift for unloading.
