Robot is Fanuc arcmate 120ib with RJ3B controller. Weld power supply is Fronius, which I selected for this cell because their pulse aluminum performance is unbelievable. Long welds in light stock are no issue with this machine. Nor are any other welds. I feel welding with this machine rivals tig quality once you have it dialed in. The power supply was originally a manual machine an individual brought, with the idea he was going to start a business repairing aluminum wheels, but the company never got off the ground and I bought it with 0 hours. The feeder, torch, cooler, hosepack and device net were all bought by me brand new when I built the cell. The arm sits among 4 52x52in platens. The arm will reach to the outer edge of all of them. One platen has 20 destaco pneumatic clamps that are plumbed to a manifold with an electromechanical valve so you can clamp and unclamp with a switch. This could be set up to clamp and unclamp with the robot.The frame the platens and the robot sit on is mostly 3.5x5 aluminum I beam. There are 8 legs all with a leveling screw. The platens are removable and the frame could be modified quite easily to work in a smaller space if necessary. I hate to part with this rig but a lot of the welding has been eliminated from our process so we don't use it often enough. I would rather see someone with a real need put it to good use. Everything is under power and can be positioned and welds can be performed for inspection.
