THIS SALE IS FOR A ROCKWELL NO.126 / 9118 PORTA PLANE, 7 Amp , 25000 RPM , 2 11/16" CARBIDE SPIRAL-BLADE CUTTERHEAD with STEEL CASE & MANUAL. THIS TOOL IS OLDER THE MODEL # 126 NOT THE NEWER MODEL # 9118 7 Amp 22000 RPM I purchase this in the early to mid 1980s I only use this at home a few times, At the most it has only 1 1/2 hour on it, has just been sitting in my tool cabinet for many years. ( The scratches on it is from moving the heavy 22lb case with tool in it , in & out of the tool cabinet to get some thing else out of that I needed in that cabinet. At my age now it is time for me to past this excellent tool to some one else that can make use of it & take good care of it! When this tool was made, Rockwell was one of the premier Power tool company. One of best excellent tool company, all power tool were made in the USA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not like now, made in Asia or Mexico like most of the tools you buy today. When Porter-Cable introduced this planer, professionals everywhere rejoiced. It is widely regarded as the most solid, reliable, and effective hand planer on the market. While other tools boast speeds between 12,000 and 15,000 rpm, the model 126 Porta-Plane's with beefy 7 amp motor runs at 25,000 rpm. Porter-Cable combines that power with a Carbide spiral-blade cutterhead that shaves the wood rather than chopping at it the way a straight blade does, producing smoother finished edges than those produced by other power planes. This model has a solid and true stainless-steel bed and integral fence, which bevels from 15 to 90 degrees. When you buy this tool you definitely get what you pay for. For pros that expect to do a whole lot of door trimming and hanging, there is no better tool available then and specially this day & age with all the junk that is coming from Asia & Mexico
