·      Description: -You are bidding on a Rohm 3-jaw lathe chuck, which is a nominal 8” in diameter and was made in Germany. The main movement for the jaws comes in the larger scrolling mechanism, but then fine-tuning could be utilized with the (3) independent key adjustments on the back of the jaws. -The chuck is stamped on the top with the manufacturer’s name, and appears to be stamped “200” as to the model number. The manufacturer’s stamp is somewhat obscured with scuffs and scratches, but this appears to be correct. -The chuck is also stamped on the top and bottom with the number “411”, along with the stamp “Made in Germany” on the underside of the chuck. -The chuck comes with its main 3-jaw scrolling key, but does not come with the smaller key used for the independent jaw-adustment.   -The chuck comes without a backing plate, which will need to be provided by the new owner.   -Here are some specifications: ·      The chuck is ~7.875” in diameter ·      The chuck is ~3.825” thick ·      The jaws on the chuck are ~3.35” long, and ~.95” thick ·      The through-hole of the chuck is ~2.175” in diameter. ·      The recess on the underside of the chuck for the backing plate is ~6.3” in diameter.   -I recently acquired the chuck, and don’t know too much about it, but I did test out the jaw adjustment mechanisms with the key, and the jaws moved in-and-out throughout their entire normal range-of-motion. ·      The (3)-jaw scrolling adjustment was pretty smooth overall, without too much effort both backwards and forwards. ·      I was not able to test the “action” on the (3) independent jaw adjustments, as I do not have the key. They are believed to be in good working condition. -The chuck appears to me as in overall pretty good original condition, but I have not tested it on an actual lathe etc. Please note: -As I am no expert on this sort of industrial item, please have someone properly trained in handling these types of chucks inspect the unit prior to usage to ensure safe operation, as appropriate for the particular application it is to be used for! Cosmetically, the chuck appears to be in pretty good used condition and shows some moderate wear, including: ·      Some minor scuffs and light bashes to the metal, plus some surface rust on the chuck and jaws. ·      Other areas of the metal on the exterior of the chuck appears to have built up a dark “patina” from oxidation + grease. ·      The key has some minor scuffs and scratches, plus some light surface rust here and there, but is in overall pretty good used condition.   Please email with any questions!   YOUR PURCHASE WILL BE PACKED WITH CARE TO ENSURE SAFE DELIVERY!   Shipping Policy: ·    Ships via USPS Parcel Post or FedEx Ground (Sorry, no international shipping on this item) ·      We only ship to confirmed PAYPAL addresses ·     Michigan residents must pay 6% sales tax   Please email with any questions!
