From the internet:The Ropematic ™ is easy to use. Pull your rope, flat/mule tape, fish tape into the conduit and attach the wires at the end from which the wires are to be pulled. Attach the Ropematic to the end of the rope to which you are pulling the wire. This can be done by holding the rope with one hand and pulling it to assure tension. Hold the Ropematic to the rope, flat/mule tape, fish tape with the open slot and simply slip the Ropematic over the rope,flat/mule tape,fish tape in a forward motion, away from yourself. This will automatically rotate the rotating cam inside the pulling hub. Hold the rope with one hand just behind the Ropematic and slide the Ropematic forward along the rope,flat/mule tape,fish tape toward the pulling point. You are now ready to pull your wire. TIP: Try to create a rhythm between yourself and the person feeding the wire at the other end. The Ropematic will lock down to the rope,flat/mule tape,fish tape as you pull and create tension. It will release upon sliding it forward with one hand and pulling the slack of the rope,flat/mule tape,fish tape with the other hand. Repeat this process until your wire exits the conduit. We do not recommend inserting the wire into the Ropematic as it will damage the insulation of the wire. If the wire is a spare wire being used as a pull wire only and never again for any type of electrical circuit or purpose, you can utilize your Ropematic to grip it. Be responsible and recycle that wire to be sure it does not get used. We recommend the use of Nylon and Poly rope sized 0.375"-0.625" (3/8"-5/8").
