     This is a WHITNEY No. 8 hand punch. Has 5 tons of punching power. This hand punch can pop a 1/4" hole through 1/4" thick mild steel in seconds. Needs no electricity, which is a plus for some job site installs/fabricating. Very quick and convenient, great time saver.      The WHITNEY has roller bearings in the working end, much better than the Whitney No. 2 punches.      Comes with 3 punch & die sets: 1- 1/4",  1- 3/8" and 1 - 7/16". All round. The 3/8" punch shows wear, I tryed it on the 14 ga. stainless steel, it punched it but left a burr on the underside..      There is a mounting base, which can be used to stabilize the punch on the ground or bench top, or can be bolted down for permanent mounting.       Tool is about 25 1/2" long.      Overall, very good condition. The rubber grip on the bottom handle is missing, it's painted yellow. Doesn't interfere with operation of punch.      Can also do slotting and ovalized holes, see test piece.      Punches and dies still available from ROPER WHITNEY, supply houses etc.      I will be listing punches/dies for this punch next.
