While actual maximum sheet size is 23.62 x 31.02”, this format allows for plenty of room for color bars, cut marks, register marks and bleeds for this six-up format. So too, 12 page signatures (bound on the 8 1/2 ” side) can be run as six-up, 11 x 17” three-up, and  11 x 25 1/2 ” three panel jobs can be printed two-up. Cylinder Configuration RYOBI’s 750 series offers an all double-double cylinder design ensuring ease of running thicker stocks (up to 24 point) and the ability to run most stocks at higher speeds (up to 15,000 sheets per hour). This double-double design allows for a very smooth paper path with a minimum of sheet curl allowing for thinner stocks with heavier coverage to be run easily and with a minimum of waste.  In addition, we offer a seven o’clock cylinder configuration meaning that if one were to draw a line down the cylinder journals from the plate to blanket and blanket to impression cylinder, it would resemble the hands of a clock set in the seven o’ clock position. What this means is that the impression cylinder relative to the transfer cylinder on each printing unit is set further apart. This ensures that the printing is complete prior to the sheet changing grippers. This is a huge advantage over our competition in that we can eliminate many of the problems that occur when a sheet arrives for transfer while it is still on impression; chief of which are lines that can appear across the sheet in heavy solids and screens. While this is also a function of the inker, this allows RYOBI 750 Series owners to print with complete confidence knowing that the work coming off their press will take a backseat to no one.   Total and Complete Automation How does a 10 minute make-ready sound when going from one size and type of sheet to another? Well, many of our users are doing this now on automated 680 and 750 Series presses from RYOBI. Our presses come standard with the RYOBI Semi-Automatic Plate Changer. Plates are changed quickly and accurately with minimal operator involvement. Merely set the plates on the positioning pins and presses a button. That is all there is to it!  No plate bending is required, making for easy storage of plates in repeat jobs. The Plate Register Remote Control Device is also standard allowing for push button movement of the plate cylinders from the console in lateral, circumferential, and diagonal directions. The RYOBI 750 Series comes standard with our Workflow Saver Inking Unit Controls. This system allows your operator the ability to turn off (Dead-Head) any or all of the printing units so that a one, two, or three color job can be run without having to pull the ink out of the press or to apply roller lube. This design is terrific when last minute jobs come in that could otherwise interrupt the scheduling on the press. Pressroom foremen and operations’ managers are always very pleased to learn of this feature. RYOBI Program Inking will allow your operator to quickly get to ink densities while minimizing paper waste and labor costs. This standard feature sets a fine bead of ink on the rollers at the end of a print run so that the next job does not require the operator to have to chase his densities. This “Smart End and Smart Start” inking greatly reduces make-readies and also allows for a greater number of jobs to be run per shift thanks to shorter make-ready times. Pull Guide Presets and the Suction Tape Feed Board further enhances your operator’s ability to go quickly and easily from job to job with a minimum of waste. These features found on all of RYOBI’s larger presses remove many costly steps in the printing process, which were previously performed manually while the press was stopped. Imagine the time savings and reduced physical requirements these features will lend to your operation and pressman. With these increased efficiencies, your pressman will be fresher, more alert and more productive as the production day wears on. Outstanding Inking Capabilities are yours as well with the 750 Series RYOBI. Remember, it was RYOBI who pioneered high speed printing with the 18,000sph RAPIDA. With most common presses, problems with inkers occur at high speeds as a result of excessive friction in the ink trains.  The ink trains develop heat and ultimately break down the inks. In such situations, densities are difficult to achieve and solids become increasingly difficult to reproduce. RYOBI designed the 750 Series ink trains to withstand heat so that solids and heavy screens may be reproduced across the 23 x 29” sheet, even at the highest of speeds and longest of runs. Customers have remarked about the quality of the solids coming off the RYOBI 750 Series when they compare them to what they are now producing off other brands of presses. We have impressed all comers with our ability to paint the sheet. (Of course conditions, inks, and paper all come in to play and must be taken into consideration when producing printing of the highest quality.) The RYOBI-matic-D Continuous Dampening System has allowed users to produce up to 800 line screens. Our print tests have shown outstanding dot quality from 1% to 99% across a wide range of inks and papers. Additionally, the RYOBI-matic–D substantially reduces hickeys on plates by adopting the Epic Delta design.  The RYOBI dampening system also features a segregated/integrated oscillating bridge roller and pan roller skew adjustment control allowing the metering roller to have more/less water in the center of the roller and plate.  In addition to allowing for additional water control, this skew adjustment can greatly extend the life of the metering rollers.  The segregated/integrated oscillating bridge roller is controlled (on/off) at the console’s touch screen and the pan roller skew is a manually made adjustment.  The Epic Delta design adopts a new drive mechanism for the water form roller that creates a rotational speed difference between the water form rollers and plate cylinders.  This system enables almost nonstop press operation by greatly reducing the need to remove hickeys from plates.  In addition, this 750 series press has been equipped with paper size and impression cylinder presets,  and automatic ink roller, blanket and impression cylinder cleaning devices.  To complete the  automated and controlled printing process, the RYOBI PDS-E scanning densitometer for close loop operation will be installed into the RYOBI PCS-G Printing Control System.  All of these items are factory installed with your new press while others may be added in the field at a later date as your budget allows. With this flexibility, you can customize your RYOBI 750 Series Press to fit both your needs and your financial plan. Printing Density Control System RYOBI PDS-E (included option) The RYOBI PDS-E Printing Density Control System measure the color bar of the printed sheet using a spectrophotometer with special sensors.  Values needed to correct the color densities to match those of the OK sheet are calculated and provided as feedback to the RYOBI PCS-G, which appropriately adjusts the openings of the ink fountain keys. Quality control that previously relied on human experience and intuition is now done using precise numerical values, contributing to consistent printing.
