This machine was removed from a small restaurant that was closed down. The Landlady hired me to clean up the building so a thrift store could go in. This ice cream machine sat around for a few years while the restaurant was closed up and the building was unused. The restaurant was broken into and this machine had been vandalized (someone stole copper tubing and wire) So, I'm just going to part it out rather than repair it. This is a double mixer and has two of everything. In 1994 one side had been overhauled and the other still contained its original parts. The original parts appear to be worn out (so, I'm not selling them) and the replacement parts are in good condition and are for sale in my listings. Stoelting Inc. Ice cream maker. Model # 218R-12 Sorry, I do not know the part number for the part in the photos. This mixer shaft is made of solid stainless steel. It is approx. 30" long overall. It weighs about 20 pounds. The shaft has a hex on one end that inserts into the gear-reduction unit and has some imprinted wear from the gear it sits in. The end (bearing/bushing) seal surfaces are in great condition. I do see a seal surface that is slightly worn from an o-ring. Overall it is in good usable condition. However, a good cleaning & scrubbing with a ScotchBrite pad would do wonders. My inspection is to the outside and is a visual inspection as to it's condition. It is my (experienced) opinion that this used part is reusable. Please look at the photos closely and examine them carefully. Feel free to ask me questions, I will answer them to the best of my ability.
