NAME OF THE VETERINARY MEDICINAL PRODUCT SALMOCID PLUS Active substance: Thiamphenicol – 200 000 IU (0.200 g)/0.7g Riboflavine – 0.0025 g/0.7 g Thiamine Hydrochloride – 0.0025 g/0.7g Piridoxine Hydrochloride – 0.0050 g/0.7g Nicotinamide – 0.0025 g/0.7g Menadione – 0.0150 g/0.7g Excipients: Calcium Hydrogen Phosphate Dihydrate, Microcrystaline Cellulose,Wheat Starch, Magnesium stearate (or Calcium stearate), Talc, Silica, Colloidal anhydrous THERAPEUTIC INDICATIONS: Colibacteriosis, infections of the gastrointestinal tract, respiratory tract and urogenital system. CONTRAINDICATIONS: Do not use in adult ruminants (cattle, sheep, goats)! ADVERSE REACTIONS: There may be a disturbance in the alimentary canal - ?tony, swelling of the rumen in ruminants and diarrhea. TARGET SPECIES: calves, lambs and goatling, dogs and cats. Route of administration: oral Dosage: 1 tablet per 3 kg of body weight twice daily (every 12 hours) SPECIAL WARNING Pregnancy and lactation: It can be used during pregnancy and lactation in dogs and cats. Interaction with other medicinal products and other forms of interaction: The product is not compatible with the antibiotics of penicillin and streptomycin group. It is compatible with antibiotics of the tetracycline group and with sulfonamides. The therapeutic effect is amplified when the animals are given food rich in vitamins B, C and K. Overdose (symptoms, emergency procedures, antidotes): Upon oral administration at high doses thiamphenicol inhibits microflora of the digestive canal, and as a result, a number of complications arise - atony, tetany, flatulence, avitaminosis, etc. Management of overdose: When disturbances in the digestive canal - ?tony, swelling of the rumen and diarrhea - discontinue further administration. According clinical signs used rumenotomy means -products for regulation rumen movements and elimination of gases; higher doses of vitamins B complex, C and K and inclusion in the diet of animals beer yeast and yogurt.
