The Concentrator is used to help drying out of large sample volumes by blowing gas (normally nitrogen or other inert gas) into the sample tubes. Combined with a block heater ( FITS ALL MAPLE SCIENTIFIC BLOCK HEATERS ), it can accelerate the concentrate process and is often used in chemical, biochemical and biological labs. The BC 301 can be used with many types of conventional tubes in different block sizes. Maplelab offers the BC 301 complete with chamber head and adjusting height stand AND 1 SET ( 100 IN A PACK ) of stainless steel needles. The Concentrators come with the adjustable valve for controlling the gas pressure and tubing for easy attachment into a gas source. The sample concentrator is supplied with a needle guide and protection plate for protecting the gas chamber from corrosive vapors and helping with needle aligned to the center of the sample vials when lowering the needle head into position. There are two different types of the needles used in the Concentrator: Stainless steel and Teflon coated stainless steel needles , which can resist many types of chemical corrosive vapors and materials.
