The dolly is made of 13-gauge steel, which is stronger than aluminum and more resistant to fractures than cast iron. Gauge is a measure of thickness (the lower the gauge, the thicker the material). The caster wheels swivel for maneuverability, and two of the wheels have brakes to keep the dolly from rolling.
