Sartorius CP 4202S Competence Series Precision Balance, 4200.00 g Range (0.01 g readability), ISO/GLP Compliant Printouts Seller's Description: Offered is a Sartorius Competence Series CP4202S precision balance in excellent working and cosmetic condition. This balance offers a weighing pan of approximately 7.5” X 8.0”, a weighing capacity of 4200 g, and a readability to 0.01 g (10 mg), making it an ideal balance for general laboratory use when dispensing powders or liquids for buffer preparation, chemistry reactions, or formulation preparation. This balance features rugged polymer shell, with a bright blue LCD display. It has a full range of features ideal for use in a variety of laboratories, including a fast response time (<1.5s), four levels of vibration filtering, a multitude of weight scaling options (g, kg, oz., lbs, carats, troy oz., grains, milligrains, etc.), and built in applications for counting, small animal weighing, net-total formulation weighing, and % weighing. Calibration of this balance is performed using an external weight. An RS-232 serial output port (cable not included) can enable ISO/GLP-compliant logging of calibration, adjustment and weighing data using an optional (not included) data printer or a PC. This unit was recently purchased and I “upgraded” it with a new aftermarket AC adapter and new OEM pan support pinwheels. My check with several standard weights (10g up to 3350g) shows it’s accurate with good linearity (see pictures).
