These are a very lightweight pair of Bates "tactical" boots - combat boots - in size 14 Medium. They weigh 2lb 9.2 oz for the pair. My regular boots weigh closer to 4 1/2 pounds, and they are "jungle" style. I need a wide boot, otherwise these would be staying here with me. I see light wear on the center contact patch on the sole, but other than that, they are in very good shape. See photos for the whole story. In my day, these were called "tanker" boots because only guys who drove tanks or other armored vehicles were allowed to wear zip-up boots. Brand new, these boots are 125.00 or so. Priced to find a good home to a person with a big foot who wants a nice lightweight pair of boots. Shipping - Carefully packed and ready to ship - I send out the business day after your payment clears. I believe whatever profit I make should be from a fair price on my items. I cover the cost of packing and handling, and ship using the least expensive method - usually FedEx SmartPost, which can take 2-8 days, or in some cases USPS First Class, which may only take a few days. Why Not Free Shipping? - Ebay charges sellers like me based on the final value. If a $20.00 item ships for $5.00, ebay gets a percentage of $20.00. If I offer it for $25.00 and free shipping, Ebay gets a cut of $25.00 (not 20) so "Free Shipping" actually costs the consumer more in the end, because I will have to adjust my prices to make the same profit margin.
