Fantastic vintage new old stock Louis Tellier Moulin Restaurant Model No. 5 food mill (tomato strainer/crusher), circa 1980s, of tinned metal construction with painted wooden handle, approx. 8 qt. capacity, the hopper approx. 14-1/2” in diameter, 3 mm mesh grid, in the original shipping box with instructions. A few tiny scattered spots of subtle, superficial, very minor oxidation to exterior (noted only for strict accuracy; the interior remaining fresh and bright), and wear and soiling to box from longtime storage, otherwise excellent, never-used condition, retaining the original interior label. A remarkable culinary “time capsule” find (see below) dating, according to the shipping label, from 1982. The closest equivalent current model produced by Tellier, the X530 Commercial Professional Restaurant Food Mill, retails on Amazon for $377. The “new old stock” example offered here has a starting bid at a fraction of that amount and no reserve! From the unsold stock of McDonald’s Kitchenware Store, a longtime fixture in Nashua, New Hampshire that closed its doors for good in 2013. I have obtained and will be offering a varied selection of items from the store, many of which remained in storage for decades, in some cases 50 to 60 years.
