Schlage NOS A10S Levon x 625 11-116 latch, 10-025 strike. What does this all mean? Schlage is the manufacture and the inventor of this style of lock in the 1920's in San Francisco. NOS = New Old Stock A = the Series of lock. This is a residential light commercial use lock. 10 = Function: This lock is a latchset or passage set. It will hold a door latched closed but does NOT have a locking feature. S = Spring latch. Just has the latch that sticks out the edge of the door and does NOT have the deadlatch (half moon trigger that lays along side of the latch) as used in keyed functions. 625 is the finish of the lock. This happens to be polished (bright) chrome. It is a very durable finish. 11-116 is the type of latch. It is a 2-3/4" backset. Backset is the distance from the edge of the door to the center of the 2-1/8" mounting hole. This is what is standard in most commercial installations. Other backsets are available. 10-025 is the type of strike. The strike is the metal plate that fits in the door frame for the latch to catch into. This is the large ASA/ANSI 4-7/8" tall strike. Most common in steel door frames. Other sizes and types will work. The lock is complete with all screws and bits and pieces. The boxes are about a 7 of 10 in condition, the contents are 10 of 10. I am in the locksmith business and can answer ANY question about this lock AND your installation. Please ask your questions before you purchase Dec2014: Current list price is $120.00 - $150.00
