Simply select one of the three sterilization programs and with a single touch of the keypad, begin the cycle. An advanced microprocessor controls all functions and maintains optimal sterilization conditions, from start to finish. This Statim 2000 is a reliable cassette sterilizer that’s compact enough to fit in procedure areas and fast enough to sterilize jewelry, expensive Lasik, PRK, endoscopic and cataract instruments, including phaco handpieces, between procedures – it can complete an unwrapped sterilization cycle in just six minutes and a wrapped cycle in 14 minutes. There are some bumps and bruises on the outside, but the insides are great. The cassette is in very good condition, has a Statim Green Gasket installed, and has no leaks. The condensor bottle is not original, but works fine. Test Results I changed the air filter on this unit, filled it with DISTILLED WATER, and powered it up. I selected the unwrapped instrument cycle, inserted the cassette, and started the cycle. Immediately, the unit began to warm up. After approximately 15-20 seconds, the unit began to purge air [see pics]. The temperature continued to rise from ambient, to 101*F, at which time the unit began to pressurize. When temperature reached 136*F, sterilization begins for 3:30 [see pics]. The cassette has a new green gasket, and does not leak a drop. I ran each of the cycles at least 5 times with no errors or leaking. The unwrapped cycle completes a total cycle in about 6 minutes. The LED screen functions as desiged.
