 This is a vintage electric, portable typewriter from Sears; it is their Power Return Electric 10 Model 871-53690, Series S6SC.  It types in pica which is 10 characters/spaces per inch.  It is a very light grey or off white color on the top with a dark gray base and black tear-drop shaped keys.  All functions work and it types nicely.  It has neat ribbon covers and a conveniently located on/off switch right near the keyboard.   Typewriter has 3 ribbon settings--1 for black type, 1 for making stencils, and 1 for red type (assuming you have that type ribbon installed); it will need a new ribbon soon.  The ribbon in it now actually types in green and still works but will need to be replaced in the near future.  Ribbons are available.  It has single, double, and triple spacing capabilities along with some spaces in between.  It also has 10 settings for pressure so you will get crisp type if you are making carbon copies (change the setting based upon how many copies you are making). It comes with a hard molded composite carry/storage case which measures 15" wide x 13" deep x 6 1/2" tall.  Case has typical scuffing, nothing major. Typewriter will be packed carefully and insured which is reflected in the S&H amt.  Typewriter weighs approx. 23 1/2# prior to packing for shipment, so it is quite heavy and well made.
