These seals are "quad-scored" (four indentations) on the pin for a clean, easy-break. In addition, the right side of the seal's body is also notched - which can function as a secondary breaking point. These seals have all of the right features for emergency medical / paramedic services, pharmaceutical / narcotics monitoring, crash carts, first aid kits, fire extinguishers, fire suppression and Halon dump systems. The seals' large flag (the part of the seal that contains the serial number) and the seals' oversized body allow for a secure grasp of the seal when it's needed most: When the seal needs to be removed - quickly. DESCRIPTION OF THE EASY-OPEN PIN SEAL: Each security seal is a "one use" seal which snaps (locks) into place and is non-removable without leaving a clear indication of tampering. Each seal is "quad-scored" (has four small indentations molded into the pin) allowing the seal to be quickly removed by simply twisting it off. This type of seal is ideal for "instant access" items such as fire extinguishers, first aid kits, narcotics boxes, crash carts, fire alarm pull-stations, fire extinguishers, emergency shut-off switches - - - due to its quick release / easy-break feature. The pins' tip has a diameter of 0.09" (less than 1/8"). The pins' shaft has a diameter of 0.08". The pin's small diameter allows the seal to be inserted / utilized on almost any crash cart, first aid kit, narcotics box or fire suppression device. We have placed a half-dollar in several of the photographs so you can see just how BIG this seal is! Sorry, the half-dollar isn't included with the seals. The seals' serial number is heat embossed and "painted" into the plastic seal. 100 seals weigh 5.5 ounces (156 grams). DISCOUNTS: Effective July 2011, eBay started collecting an 11% surcharge on the amount buyers pay for postage. We have never "gouged" our buyers on postage or shipping -and- we have never charged a "handling fee." In fact, we usually "broke even" or lost a little money on shipping. Under eBay's new rules, if a seller's actual postage cost is $2.50, eBay now "dings" the seller a .28? (11%) "postage surcharge" resulting in another loss. Effective June 1, 2012, eBay terminated many seller's 20% "final value credit" because sellers were unable to meet eBay's shipping criteria of shipping within 24-hours (orders placed on Saturday afternoon couldn't possibly be shipped until at least Monday, etc.). Sellers counted on this small "refund" which added to the bottom line. As we could only guarantee 24-hour shipping 6-days a week, we lost this credit too.
