I had to fabricate a wall bracket from parts obtained at a hardware store. After bolting the fabricated bracket to the wall, I was then able to use the mounting bracket which was in the box, supplied by the manufacturer. I couldn't find any with a magnetic backing to attach to my metal office door. Bought this one, took off the attached mounting bracket, and affixed some super-heavy-duty velcro to my door and to the back of the mirror. PERFECT. I bought this security mirror for my place of business. The prices on basically similar products range from 50 to hundreds of dollars. This convex mirror in 26" size does well in small to medium sized places. My store is about 50 x 50 (the area that customers go into) and it does a good job so I can see everything otherwise obstructed by walls and selves. Remember to check if the one you are purchasing is for indoor or outdoor use, as the outdoor mirrors are much more expensive and unnecessary for indoor use.
