This is a Fully Serviced (by a sewing machine technician) Singer model 328K All metal vintage heavy duty sewing machine.See the video This machine is strong enough to do some commercial work like upholstery. This machine can run industrial T70 #69 Bonded nylon thread through it. As you can see in the pictures and video, sews easy through through 4 layers of heavy marine vinyl, and a 1/8” thick leather belt both using commercial upholstery nylon thread TEX 70 B69-- AND ZIG-ZAG STITCHING TOO!. Although I don't think it can sew holsters, shoes or saddles, it can sew some thick stuff & should be good for any garment, quilt, boat cover or upholstery job. It would have no problem sewing multiple layers of vinyl, suede, canvas, Sunbrella, Cordura, Duck, sail cloth, denim or jeans. It is also pictured/and videoed using commercial upholstery nylon thread TEX 70 B69, the same thread used by a Juki or Consew commercial and industrial sewing machines. This thread can not be broke by hand very heavy duty.This is a real nice sewing, and in good condition Singer model 328K Portable sewing machine. This machine dates from 1964, and it is all metal with NO PLASTIC INTERNAL PARTS, and was made in Great Britain. This machine is a zig zag model and can take different fashion cams to make other stitches like blind stitch and embroidery patterns —i only have the zig-zag cam #1 but the others are readily available here on eBay. It also features a needle position adjuster so you can set the needle to Left-center-Right. Comes with the complete owners manual on CD in a PDF file so you can view it on your computer , tablet, or phone, and you can also print it off your computer Machine is in great condition, low use, but also fully serviced and adjusted. Was originally in a table, its wire routing cover in the front part of the bed missing this was a plastic cover and its being missing doesn't effect the use or safety of the machine it was a cosmetic piece, this cover was used to cover where the pedal and power cord were routed to the underneath of the machine (pedal had been mounted in the table). This has a replacement power cord and a portable style period correct Singer pedal. The machine also has good original table feet (these are usually bad on these) and it has its oil drip pan mounted on the bottom (this also is often missing). Runs standard needles, and takes class 66 drop in bobbins that are available at Wal-Mart. Very simple machine to use, great for a beginner, also its stronger than whats on the market today (including the so called commercial grade machines) great all around machine, and built to last.Note *** spool holders and felts on top of the machine will be removed for shipping and included with the sewing samples pictured as well as the owners manual on CD (not pictured) thanks for looking NOTE************ITEM SHIPS INSIDE USA ONLY!!******************Check out my other items!
