Electrical/Operational Condition: Excellent! This LC53 analyzer has always been well cared for and used several times a week in my hobby/repair shop. It has been serviced regularly with contacts cleaned, electrical settings and performance tested, operations verified across the analyzers entire operating range and the high-voltage PSU tested and adjusted (when necessary). Physical Condition: The LC53 is in solid condition. It shows use but not abuse. It was purchased from the University of Illinois where it was used in an EE lab. The face of the analyzer is very clean and without major marks or scratches. As seen in the photos, the display is clean and easily visible but some of the stenciled white lettering has worn off. SENCORE LC53 Inductance/Capacitance Analyzer - just back from it’s annual check-up/service. All contacts were professionally cleaned, all functions/ranges tested and verified, HV power supply (50-600V) tested and verified and any internal adjustments were made (if required) were made to bring the unit into specifications. This unit was purchased from the University of Illinois many years ago. It was fully functional at that time and I have used it on a regular basis since. It has been serviced regularly, well cared for and never abused. The exterior of the SENCORE is in fair condition. There are signs of normal use with a few small nicks and scratches from near daily use in my home electronics lab. SENCORE LC53 Technical Details: Dynamic Capacitance Testing - far more accurate than ‘value only’ testers and bridges. Tests capacitors up to full rated values up to 600V. Tests capacitors for VALUE and LEAKAGE CURRENT. This analyzer is much more accurate than other meters since it can apply up to 600V to the device under test. You can find capacitor faults that many other meters/analyzers might miss through real-time leakage current results and actual capacitance values. Many times a normal multimeter will show a capacitor as good (not shorted or otherwise physically defective) but under circuit conditions it isn’t. This analyzer will help you reduce troubleshooting times but testing the device under real-world conditions. Reliable Coil/Inductance Analyzer and Tester. The SENCORE LC53 uses a true inductance testing method for accurate, reliable and repeatable testing of inductors and coils. Tests for VALUE through adjusting RINGING. The SENCORE LC53 can also be used for the following ‘special’ tests: SCR’s, TRIACS, High-Voltage Rectifiers and Diodes with up to 600V applied. The LC53 is can test for broadcast, avionics and ham radio transmission line and coax cable shorts. It even helps you pinpoint the distance to a short! The SENCORE also works GREAT for testing dielectric leakage (hi pot) up to 600V. This is an excellent piece of test equipment. It is indispensable for professional labs/shops and invaluable for the home electronics hobbyist. I have used this analyzer several times a week in my home electronics lab with great results. It has no known issues and just serviced. All functions and ranges have been tested and verified functional.
