With a 180-degree field of view, the DR-851 can detect motion in 17 sensitive zones at a maximum forward range of 45 feet (13.7 meters). The detector's dual pyroelectric operation cancels out background clutter, making it highly immune to false alarms, and its adjustable sensitivity further enhances this feature. The DR-851 also boasts a built-in diagnostic memory that constantly monitors and logs information such as the detector's proximity to the alarm threshold, the time it reached the maximum percentage of alarm threshold, and its internal operating voltage. This information can be accessed with Aritech's Data Reader, a wireless diagnostic tool. Installation of the DR-851 is made easy with its black box containing convenient mounting holes and a terminal strip for wiring connections. The detector's cover can be easily screwed in place, and the field of view can be narrowed from 180 to 90 degrees left or right by adding a blocking clip. Cable entry is through a tamper-proof, strain-relieved cable entry port. The DR-851 is a passive infrared sensor that utilizes a microprocessor to detect changes in radiation levels. If the change is significant enough, an alarm will activate. Its installer-selectable features allow for customized settings to fit the specific needs of any installation. The sensor comes equipped with programmable dipswitches that control its detection characteristics and whether it operates as a stand-alone or multi-head system sensor. This lot includes two (2) new Aritech (#DR851) Advisor 851, Microprocessor Controlled, Passive, Infrared Sensors. Additional quantities of sensors are available above and beyond those shown on eBay inventory. Please read through all terms and conditions before placing a bid. The DR-851 can be used as a stand-alone detector powered by a 12 or 24 VDC power source, or by 16 VAC (standby battery and transformer must be ordered separately). It can also be used as a sensor in an Aritech 230 or Advisor VIII multi-sensor system. The DR-851's balanced detection logic requires two detection events to occur within a preset time interval for an alarm to be initiated, reducing the risk of false alarms. It also comes equipped with temperature compensation to automatically adjust to changes in background temperature, further reducing the risk of false alarms.
