This listing is for a set of 4 new Shepherd Hut Wheels in cast iron - 2no. x 24" dia and 2no. x 32" dia. Traditional, heavy duty design - unpainted. 2no. x 24" dia (for front of hut) 2no. x 32" dia (for rear of hut) Diameter: 610mm (24") Diameter: 812mm (32") Rim Width: 82mm Rim Width: 90mm Hub width: 117mm Hub width: 105mm Axle Dia: 37.5mm Axle Dia: 45mm Weight: 37 kilos Weight: 58 kilos These wheels are cast from our own Patterns in an English Foundry (Not Foreign Made) and include a grease chamber in the hubs. In addition, there are "seats" cast in the reverse of the hubs (so they are not visible externally) which can be drilled and tapped for grease nipples, if required - see picture 2 for 32" and picture 3 for 24". The rims are wide enough to ensure improved towing and stability, particularly on softer ground. Please also note that the hub width on the 24" wheels is 117mm, which is larger than 105mm on the 32" wheels. This is because, when used as the front pair on a turntable chassis, they are subject to greater stress when turning. The additional width gives additional strength! N.B.
