For your consideration set of 85 ultrasonic / heat staking inserts for plastic. These are tapered, thru threaded inserts designed for use in tapered holes. A tapered mounting hole allows for rapid and accurate alignment prior to installation. Thread size: 1/4"-20 Overall length: .500" +/- .005" Outside dia. after knurling: .378" +/- .009" Standard material: free machining, leaded brass These inserts were made by IN-X fastener corp.,Newark, New Jersey, USA some years ago. They are comparable to Penn engineering Co. inserts, type IUB and to Spirol Co. inserts series 14 long. Some inserts have discoloration because of a long shelf life. Practically it does not make any difference because any way they will be invisible inside the plastic.
Condition:
