Stomacher 400 Laboratory Blender. Type BA7021This item is used but in working condition.             The Stomacher Lab-Blender is a unique instrument for homogenizing in which the sample is effectively blended within a special disposable plastic bag. The instrument acts on the Bag in a similar manner to the action of a stomach, hence the narre Stomacher. This latest version of the Stomacher Lab-Blender has been developed from the original instrument retaining the simple harmonic motion such that the blending process is identical ensuring directly comparable results for both old and new versions. The instrument is comprised essentially of an electric motor driven worm gear unit with twin output shafts coupled to flexible crank mechanisms which in turn operate two reciprocating paddles. The paddles act on the flexible plastic bag to create the blending forces termed the "stomaching action". An important feature of the System is that the working parts do not come into direct contact with the sample being processed. The main body housing is predominantly of die cast aluminium alloy with a stainless steel door assembly. All controls are conveniently grouped onto a touch panel flush mounted into the top surface of the main body housing.
