Offered for sale is a refurbished drive hub for a Shimadzu MobileDart Evolution mobile x-ray machine. This is an EXCHANGE SALE. Item will not ship until a rebuildable core is received. If you need the item to ship immediately or have no core please contact us and we will add the core charge ($700, refundable if a good core is received within 21 days of sale) to your invoice. Buyer is responsible for core return shipping. This part may fit some Fuji machines as well. The drive hub is the part of the drive motor assembly that the drive tire bolts to. This refurbished hub has a new machined steel spline section installed to replace the worn out cast splines. A new bearing is included and pressed into the hub before shipment. The MobileDart Evolution mobile x-ray machine has a tendency to wear out the drive hub. Over time the steel motor shaft will wear away the cast splines in the drive hub. This will cause clunking and jerky motion of the machine. Eventually the splines will wear out completely causing the tire to which they are mounted to no longer drive the machine. The machine is then very difficult to steer with only one wheel driving. This both annoying to the operators of the machine as well as dangerous to the operator and bystanders. At one time the only option for repair was to purchase an entire drive motor assembly (Shimadzu PN: 511-77099-01) for ~$5500. Sometime around April 2012 Shimadzu began using the "new" drive motor (PN: 511-77099-01) to replace the "old" drive motor (PN: 511-77099). Since the new motor has a different brake torque than the old motor you must replace both motors at the same time as well as update the software. Thus if you have the older motors and your hub is worn out as in the picture you needed to replace both motor assemblies for around $11,000. This quality replacement part is offered to you by Merganser LLC for less. Buyers outside the US please contact the seller before bidding. The fine print: This part is designed to be a direct replacement for your worn out drive hub. Please note that the continued impact of the worn cast splines against the steel splines will deform the steel splines somewhat. The outside diameter of your motor shaft may need some filing/sanding of the burrs before this part will fit. If you are not comfortable doing this you can ship your drive motor assembly to us and we will install the new hub for you. Seller ships FedEx only in the US. Once FedEx indicates the item is delivered then it is considered delivered to the customer.
