From the manual:  "This self contained instrument is used to quickly lay out and set up machines and tools, and inspect angles of finished and "in process" work. Angular range of the front or back enges of the blade is 65 degrees to the top or bottom of the body.  The 5 degree capacity beyond a 90 degree angle is provided for a checking range.  The range is further increased because the top of the blade can also be used.  This instrument is accurate to 0.0001" per inch." This instrument appears to be in very good shape.  Graduations are clear and crisp.  Dial rotates freely through entire range.  Machined surfaces are undamaged.  There were some initials engraved at one time, but those have been obliterated.  In their place is etched the number ZZ-306.  See photos.  The box is in good shape but shows numerous scuffs and nicks.  A metal plate indicates serial number 1078.  The latch and hinges are fully functional.  The interior is lined with green felt. The manual lists several pages of trigonometric functions and a brief operating instruction. I am not a machinist so I am describing this as best as I can.
