The S-251 has evolved into a machine with the stability, precision and versatility to accomplish today's most difficult manual probing challenges. The S-251 wafer stage features 6 inches of X-Y movement and a drop-down, roll out stage for easy wafer loading. A microscope(not included) can be mounted upon the sturdy stage that features 6 inches by 6 inches of coarse movement and 2 inches by 2 inches of fine movement. This stage is ideal for high resolution movements such as those required when strategically positioning a laser beam for trace cutting or passivation removal. The micropositioner support platen is compatible with both vacuum base and magnetic base micropositioners. The S-251 is a precision system for probing wafers up to 6 inches in diameter, and packaged devices of all types. Applications Signatone offers a variety of preconfigured probing solutions for a variety of specialized applications. The following code letters, referenced in the probe stations chart below, indicate which applications the various probe stations can be configured for. A = All General probing applications including failure analysis, product engineering, in-fab test station, design verification, etc. B = Microwave (RF) probing C = Low Current (femtoamp range) probing, ambient or hot/cold (-65 to +200 degree C) F = Computer Aided Probing (microprocessor controlled microscope and CAP Probes) Manual Analytical Probe Station. 6 in. diameter chuck.
