Freshness Guaranteed! 10 gram packets - One 10 gram packet of Silica Gel will remove the moisture from a container of about 475 cu. in. (about 2 gallons in size). On the rare occasion that I open the safe, I can see by glancing at the Moisture-indicating card the humidity level inside the safe and whether it is time to change my desiccant for continued protection. I pack three (3) Moisture-indicating cards with each order.  They are visible through the 4 mil zip-lock bag, and you will know at a glance your product is fresh.  You will also receive - at no charge - a Requirement Chart that will guide you as to the correct amount of desiccant you need for your application. The function of Sorb-It® is like a tiny sponge with millions of microscopic pores. Under very low humidity condition, a small amount of water vapor will be adsorbed in the smallest pores. As humidity increases, the larger pores will begin to fill.
