You are bidding on a copy of my plans to build your own wooden, Langstroth-style beehive for a fraction of the cost of factory-made. I have been a beekeeper for many years now. When I started out I couldn't afford the high cost of factory-made wooden beehives or the high cost of special woodworking tools to make my own beehives. Since I am a beekeeper, woodworker and science teacher, I combined these skills to develop for myself a set of plans to build a simple, inexpensive beehive and now I'm making these plans available to others. This hive is completely compatible with commercial, factory-made equipment and can be used with virtually any commercial super, frame or accessory. These plans are computer-printed then copied onto sheets of 8 1/2" x 11" paper. These plans include a 10-frame deep super, 10-frame medium super, 10-frame shallow super, frames, bottom board, inner cover, outer cover, and entrance reducer. Also included are the plans for a four frame nuc box and a five frame nuc box. Plans include a material list and cutting guidelines. Along with the plans, I am also including a two-page "Getting Started in Beekeeping" guide. The guide tells you what you will need to have and what you will need to do to get started in beekeeping. The guide also includes a 'recommended reading' list so you will know exactly which books and publications you need. The plans were designed to use inexpensive 3/4" boards and very basic woodworking equipment. Only minimal ability in woodworking and reading plans is needed. This hive is so simple that it could even be built using hand tools. Since I know that a hive built with butt-joints is nowhere near strong enough, rabbet joints just don't hold up over time (yes, it's spelled "rabbet" not "rabbit") and finger-joints can be very difficult to make, I designed these plans to eliminate all the fancy, difficult cuts used in factory-made hives, and use specially designed interlocking joinery to provide a strong, durable, inexpensive wooden beehive. I even built one complete hive using salvaged scrap wood! There are other plans out there, but these were specifically designed for ease of building and durability by a beekeeper for other beekeepers. There are other beehive plans sold here on Ebay, but these were the first. These are the ones that started it all. After you check out other plans and see how complicated they are, come back and buy a set of these! I know these plans will be a great help to you--they sure were to me. Regardless of the amount of your winning bid, you should save considerably more on the very first hive you build. AS AN ADDED BONUS I'm offering that anyone who ever buys a set of my plans can e-mail me at any time with questions about building this hive or ANY other questions about beekeeping. If you ever have questions about beekeeping, I'll be here to help. When you buy these plans, you are basically getting a beekeeping consulting service for free! That's worth the cost of the plans even if you never build yourself a beehive! Just put "beekeeping question" in the subject and along with your question, tell me approximately when you bought your plans. Since I always recommend that buyers check a seller's feedback before buying ANYTHING on Ebay, I invite you to check my feedback and contact me with any questions. I know my auctions usually include a 'money-back' offer, but in this case I cannot offer refunds. It's just too easy for someone to make copies then want their money back for the originals (sadly, it's already happened). But, there should be no need for returns since I'm making myself available to you for any questions or guidance. I get hundreds of people with beekeeping questions and I answer every single one personally.  I try to ship as soon as I receive payment, so your plans should be there in a few days. The longest the USPS has ever taken was ten business days. So, if your plans aren't there within ten business days, please email me immediately so I can make sure you're taken care of. My customers are important to me. Buyer to pay $1.50 shipping Continental U.S.  I ship worldwide as long as buyer pays any extra postage.  Payment expected within ten days of closing. Thanks for looking. Plans and description copyright K. Rawlinson all rights are reserved.  As soon as your item arrives, please leave feedback for me so that I know you received it (I want to make sure you're taken care of).  Then I will leave feedback for you to complete the transaction. (Note:  I make every effort to be fair and helpful to my customers; but, if there is anyone else out there who decides to buy a copy of my plans and then try to start selling them, let me know and I'll tell you what my lawyer and I put the last guy through.) Here is an actual customer comment I received nearly two years after he bought his plans. Thanks Tom for the compliment, I sure do appreciate it: "To date I have built several boxes and I gotta say that they are truly the easiest and in my opinion the best boxes one can build. The joints are tight and square, and to top it off, the handles are way easier than trying to fit fingers in the typical grooves that are normally cut into the wood. --Tom" Here's another private Email I  received: "Just received your plans . What a great set of plans. I am a very happy guy." Thanks, Stan. I'm glad you're happy with the plans. Be sure to get back to me with any future beekeeping questions you may have.
