Simpson 260-7P Multimeter W New Leads Completely Tested Brand New This Simpson 260-7P is near new and has been lightly used. It is in very nice undamaged and unmarked condition and has been stored in a climate controlled storage area. I have tested this meter on all ranges and functions and it is working properly and accurately. While I do not have the certification to provide a calibration I have compared it to my calibrated Fluke digital meter that I use as a standard. You can see some of the testing on the 250VAC and 25 DCV ranges (see pictures) The DC AC and Ohmmeter functions have been compared and are spot on well within the tolerances pointed out in the Simpson specs. I do not have an accurate current source but I did check that all current ranges do work. The new 36" leads are in perfect new never used condition. There are no marks or etched names or numbers. As you can see in the pictures this meter is still shiny new and there are no scratches of cracks in the case. If you zoom in on the frame around the meter glass there are some very minor marks and scratches that are barely visible mentioned only for an accurate description.(see pictures) It is overload protected and does activate properly. This meter is in great shape and it is ready to use. The meter leads have had adaptors installed that allow the standard male connectors to be used on the male safety connectors found on the Simpson series 7 and 8 meters. They work perfectly. (see pictures) There is no manual but you can legally download one for free from the Simpson Resource site if you need one. If you are looking for a 260-7 that you can use immediately with reliability and confidence this may be one you should consider. I worked as an Avionics tech in the navy in the early 70s and was issued a 260-6 when I reported to the shop where I worked. I have always found the 260 to be one of the best analog handhelds for reliability, ruggedness, and accuracy. Please see the pictures, check my feedback, and ask any questions you have.
