I've listed this meter as used only because I cannot swear it's new; but by all appearances it is new.  Cosmetically, it shows no signs of having been used.  The box is missing its top flap.  I tested the meter with a AAA battery; it responded  to that tiny amount of current.  I am not an electronics expert, so I don't know how far the needle should have moved.  The needle advanced smoothly perhaps 1/8th up the scale, maybe a little less.  I'll be happy to perform another test if someone walks me through it. The box label says this is Model 2154.  Mouser's cat. lists it as #17745.  The red stamp on the back appears to read OD4579, and beneath that, 823, though that lower number is pretty blurred. Assuming this is the meter that came in this box, the current price is $92.62; the site says it is not in stock and an order for one would require a 3-week wait. I've overestimated the shipping weight by a pound to cover the cost of insurance.  Ebay's estimator does not include the extra dollar or so for insurance, and for safety, I prefer to insure all packages.
