Up for bids today is a nice used 1956 Singer model 401A heavy duty industrial sewing machine. Picked this up at an estate sale and figured we didn't need as many sewing machines around so this nice collectible has to go. Works nice, but has no bobbin. Some of the plastic posts on top are missing, but could be replaced with wooden dowels. Features zig-zag and straight stitch along with 27 built in stitches and twin needle (which we have no clue how to use). There are the small feet on the back where it used to be mounted in a cabinet. You can sew material as fine as silk and as heavy as leather and upholstery. We haven't cleaned or serviced this but we have tested it and it does work. Comes with the original singer foot pedal in working order! Here's a video of the machine running link
