This sewing machine was in a building we purchased that used to be a sewing factory.  It has been stored in the building for several years, it appears to operate smoothly with no strange noises.  The base (legs) have been exposed to some water due to some roof leaks, but the motor and machine head have been dry.  It is in a high humidity environment here in SC, but everything appears to be fully functional with no problems that I can see. I am not a sewing machine expert by any stretch of the imagination, but would be happy to answer any specific questions you might have.   This item is Local Pickup Only, I may be able to deliver for a fee, or crate it for shipping if you pay for materials and arrange all shipping details.
