In the past, I've just used an electric 1/2” drill to do the job. This is also how I've managed to burn up 2 DeWalt ” drills. I was skeptical that this would be worth the price tag, but so far, I'm impressed. It has a speed selector thumb wheel that makes it easy to turn down the RPMs to keep from splashing everything out of your bucket, and a trigger lock to save your fingers from fatigue. The paddle has a two piece shaft, so it's abl to be stored in smaller spaces. My only wish is that it had a reverse option. A few weeks ago we had a large product involving mixing large amounts of epoxy slurry(epoxy and sand). We have a rigid dual paddle mixer and stand, as well as a German made single paddle. The German machine was damaged while we were unloading, so we went to the local home depot to get one of these, hoping it would at least last through the job. Happy to report that it not only survived, but had no issues at all (the 2 piece paddle is crap and stripped out fast but the machine is great.) for the money its hard to beat. We have a trigger issue on the dual paddle mixer so we just hit a preset and it does the job. Again, for the money i would recommend both. Excellent for mixing cement.
