For All Items Sales Tax Bay City Surplus will invoice the appropriate sales tax if required. All items picked up are subject to sales tax if the Buyer has no valid resale certificate or tax-exempt certification on file. Provision of a valid resale certificate or tax-exempt certification with payment will exempt buyers from sales tax. Sales tax may be waived if the item is shipped directly to an out of state destination by common carrier. Non-Paying Bidders If full payment is not RECEIVED within three (3) calendar days of auction close for general merchandise and seven (7) calendar days for vehicles, Bay City Surplus reserves the right to cancel the transaction and sell the item to another interested party. A $100 Cancellation Fee will be assessed upon cancellation and a Non-Paying Bidder alert will be filed with eBay.
