Sleeve wrapper, bundler Semi-auto bag seal, 26" 2000 Voneiff Gibson Used semi-automatic sleeve wrapping machine for making shrink wrapped bundles. The machine is comprised of a sealing section and a heat tunnel section. The semi-automatic operation means an operator feeds the product into the machine. After the operator pushes the products through the film web on to the conveyor the operator places both their fingers on the safety switches starting the sealing cycle. The sealing head lowers and seals the upper and lower films together for the time on the dwell controller. After the seal is complete the seal head raises and the exit conveyor turns on and feeds the product to the heat tunnel where the film is shrunk. The manual for this machine indicates that this machine was originally a fully automatic machine that was modified to be semi-automatic. It seems it could be made fully automatic again by removing the front infeed table and replacing the safety trigger switches with a product sensing eye although we are not exactly sure what else would need to be modified. The machine is in very good clean condition and is built very well. We tested most of the machines functions as can be seen in the video without running film through the machine. The sealing bar lowers smoothly and the sealing wires get hot. Both conveyors work well and the variable speed drives function as they should. The tunnel achieves and holds the setpoint.
