Small Honey Roller (large version is available in another one of my auctions: search for item 251592770390): Where to begin!?  This is an excellent labor saving tool for both you and the bees!  By poking holes in the capped honey instead of slicing off a fairly large percentage of the comb, you get less debris in your honey.  Another benefit is that if you choose to put the comb back in the hive after extracting the honey (instead of taking the comb for the wax), the bees will repair it and by doing so they will expend less energy and resources in that direction - and instead will make you more honey.  Did you know that for every 1 ounce of wax they produce, bees must use up around 8-10 ounces of precious honey? Simply roll the wheels over the surface of the comb to pierce the caps and then use warmth/gravity or an extractor to release the honey.   There are actually 12 separate rollers that can rotate independently of each other.  The positioning of each tine is optimized to release the honey while minimizing damage to the comb. The end collars and all rollers can be removed for cleaning - I run mine through the top of the dishwasher on low heat and just rinse off the handle.  The plastic rollers and collars are PLA (polylactic acid) which is a plant-based plastic that is typically derived from corn or soybeans!  The end collars are held on by stainless steel screws (and they may be either black as shown or yellow or a mix). This is a nice, compact design that allows you to run this over uneven comb surfaces without trouble and very quickly.  It works especially well for my top bar hives where there can be a lot more undulation on the comb surface. The total width of the 12 rollers is 2.1 inches (5.4 cm).  Overall dimensions: 12.5 inches long, 3.5 inches wide, 1.3 inches thick.  There are prongs on the handle that allow the roller to be hung from the inside of a container during pauses so that when it drips, it drips into your container. Ships free within the USA! Check out my great feedback and over 12 years of ebay use. Thanks for looking! Please note: USPS shipping charges have increased for AGAIN for 2014 (by an average of 15%)! Buyers should understand that most times I lose money on what I charge for shipping. If you add it all up: padded envelope and/or packing materials (foam, bubble pack, tape, etc), $2.00+ USPS charge for the first ounce, $ for tracking, cost of fuel to and from post office, printer paper and ink for printer, time for careful packaging/standing in line and you'll realize that sending things isn't cheap.  And the topper is that Ebay and Paypal charge me a percentage of the shipping charges collected! Here are my policies: *I ship items quickly after an auction ends - please allow sufficient shipping time. * Contact me with any questions about the item via email before the auction closes.   International Buyers: * I have experience in shipping all over the world - bidders from countries other than the US are welcome to bid! However, shipping and handling costs are substantial.  NOTE: I have made an estimate as to the minimum cost to ship outside the US, but the actual cost to your location may be higher (especially places like Australia, Russia, Indonesia and China).  As always, any import duties or taxes your home country chooses to impose are your responsibility. Returns accepted only if my description was incorrect or the item does not function.  I am not an expert in YOUR application - you are!  Ask questions first.  See policy...
