      Small G. E. Variable   Speed (Timing) motor           Product   Details:       This auction is for a new slow turning motor that operates on 12   Volts DC in either CW or CCW directions, depending on which way it is wired.   Their voltage can be reduced down to 2 to 3 volts with a 50 ohm or less wire   wound rheostat that will handle a few watts; and the motor   slows down to perhaps a third or half a revolution per minute, or less, which   makes them very good for many motor-timing projects. Otherwise, they run   at several revolutions per minute at the normal 12 volts D.C. and draw only a   few hundred milliamps of current. The housing on these motors measures   2-1/4" x 1-7/8" and is 1-3/16" thick. The shafts are 1/4"   in diameter and one is 7/8" long while the other is 1-1/8" long.   There are two spade terminals off of the motor and two holes through the   housing for mounting.   Feedback from a previous buyer: "I use these for some of the carbon arc light   feeds for the searchlights I am building, and some of my carbon arc   magic lanterns.  I am sure they would work well as servo mechanism   drivers for any type of small searchlight or spotlight, and any timing-motor   project.  These are wonderful little 12 volt motors with gear boxes   manufactured by G.E. in the USA. I have not fully tested the motors (for my   purposes) that I have won, but so far, all have worked very well,   and I am pleased with them.  They probably originally sold for quite a   few dollars, since they are well-built for little motors with   gearboxes.  These are not Cracker Jack motors.  They are   professionally built, and I highly recommend them for any interested   buyer."         We have new and used marine hardware and Nautical Decor.
