Here is an unique opportunity to build those marketed smallest card readers by yourself. This is only one of a bunch of magnetic stripe readers projects that I designed and developed over the years. I will not only provide you with the firmware needed to program the microcontroller but also support you all along the way with any questions or doubts that might arise. You will be dealing with me directly, the developer, no third parties involved which translates to privacy, fast resolutions and meaningful solutions. ABOUT THE PROJECT: - The whole development is based on a Microchip PIC24F16KA101. - A Micron M25P80, which is an 8 Mbit low voltage serial flash memory, is used for data storage. Enough to hold up to 4096 records. - A MagTek Triple Track Delta ASIC is used for everything related to the magnetic signal such as conditioning, etc. Reads all 3 tracks - Every single swipe is captured and timestamped, including interrupted ones up to the stop. - Download interface is standard RS-232. - The output provided is in RAW (01011....) exactly as it was captured. ABOUT THE PCB: - The design was developed using EAGLE. - It is a dual layer board. - The size is 12 millimeters * 6 millimeters and it could be slightly narrowed by changing component placement. - The total components count is 10 in which: 3 are integrated circuits, 3 are resistors, 3 are capacitors and 1 is a led. THE DEAL: - 3 samples of each components needed. - A CDROM. Everything will only be shipped via FedEx. No digital deliveries allowed here. Please note that you must send to print the PCBs by yourself, a realiable place to send them for print is Beta LAYOUT. They usually charge ~$80 for 100 pieces!
