Auction Description Up for auction is a large lot of new and used SMI micro/pipette parts - about 150 pieces in total. Included are various quantities of seals, o-rings, glass capillaries, plungers, caps and buttons, springs, and eye screws, as well as other components of the pipettes body and internal mechanisms. Also included are various tools/supplies for repair. In addition to parts, this lot will include six pipettes. Four of them seem to operate smoothly with a consistent plunger return, however, I have no way of testing them. Two are definitely missing parts, but I'm not sure how to repair them. Some of the loose parts appear used, but in good condition. I removed all parts that were obviously damaged from this lot before listing, so all should be in usable condition, though I can not guarantee every single piece due to my lack of familiarity. There are also parts that are labeled and in their original packaging that appear new, but I have no way to tell. I've been unable to locate any reference material on this model pipette and do not have the time to learn how to repair them on my own or become more familiar in general, so I am selling them as-is. The only bit of background information I do have is that the completed, functioning pipette is intended to be used as a positive displacement pipettor with glass capillaries, some of which are included. Because many of the parts are unmarked, I would recommend those bidding to do so only if they are knowledgeable about repair of this pipette, or if they own some existing pipettes which require known parts.
