A few key things to keep in mind while using this soldering iron tip: it may work less effectively when using a lead solder, so opt for lead-free if possible. Avoid cleaning the tip with a cleaning pad or rasp-file, as this can cause damage. Finally, the thermal conductivity of the tip will worsen when oxides accumulate, so regularly clean it with a moist cellulose tip cleaner sponge like the GOOT ST-70/75SP. When it comes time to replace the tip, simply unscrew the barrel nut, take off the heater collar, and replace the soldering tip.
