Sony EVI-D30 The ViewStation 512, View Station FX, VS4000 and MP used the Sony EVI D30 NTSC PTZ Camera as the primary camera in regions which the NTSC TV standard applies. NTSC TV is the standard for most of North America. PAL is the native TV standard for most of the world except for North America. The Sony EVI-D30 is a NTSC version of the camera and that is what is in this eBay listing. The Sony EVI-D31 is PAL. The Sony EVI-D30/D31 camera is the PTZ camera that is built into the classic ViewStation system that appeared in the late 1990s and dominated Video Conference system installations for over a decade. This Sony EVI-D30 camera can be purchased as a replacement for a malfunctioning ViewStation camera in regions supporting NTSC TV. Replacing them is not too difficult for a talented technical person with basic tools. It is the standard camera for the Polycom VS4000 and can be used with the Polycom FX and Polycom VSX systems.
