Operating Modes: The VacUpack Deluxe has triple operating modes. The first mode is for automatic operation. The operator simply places the open end of the filled bag into the channel, closes the lid and pushes the auto mode button. The VacUpack deluxe will run the vacuum, evacuating the air from the bag and at the exact proper time engage the seal bar to seal the bag. The operator can walk away, the unit will run and complete the cycle with out any further effort. The second mode is for manual operations. Using the manual mode gives the operator more control over the amount of air that is evacuated from the bag. Soft foods such as bread, cake, strawberries ect can be gently vacuum packed in a bag with out full evacuation that would damage and distort the soft product. When the operator is ready to seal the bag pushing the seal button will activate the sealing cycle. The manual mode gives the operator full control over the entire process. This is also the mode used for sealing the end of an open tube of bag material. The third mode is for using the pump only, used to vacuum seal jars and canisters. No heat bar is activated in this mode. Pump: The piston pump is designed for long life and superior vacuum levels of 24-25 Hg. The European built pump is has proven superior over the past 30 years for it's durability and longevity. Using many manufactures bag materials the VacUpack Deluxe will more than draw a vacuum to keep food fresh 3-5 times longer than plastic wraps. Depending on the bag material used and it's quality will determine the amount of vacuum pulled in the bag. A huge pump and high volumes shown on vacuum gages, does not insure the same vacuum is drawn in the bag material. Like the VacUpack Elite the VacUpack Deluxe has a soft jaw feature, which allows it to be bag friendly and adapt to many brands of bag material on the market today. You will not get stuck hunting for just one brand of bag material. Heat Bar: The VacUpack Deluxe has 4 settings to choose from. The first two are for dry bag sealing or thinner bags that melt fast, also used for higher productions of repeat seal after seal. The 3rd and 4th settings are used for wet bag sealing, or thicker heavier bags that take a longer heat seal time to melt the materials. Jars & Canisters: The VacUpack Deluxe has an independent pump operation for evacuating canisters and jars and comes with the vacuum hose for this process.
