Ultratite-Type UL Metallic Liquid tight Flexible Conduit's metal core is made with a continuously interlocked hot-dipped galvanized steel strip with a heavy zinc coating. Trade sizes 3/8-Inch to 1-1/4-Inch contain an integral copper bonding conductor located within the interlocking strip. A thermoplastic jacket is extruded over the metal core which provides protection from sunlight, weather, temperature, liquids, oil and certain chemicals. Ultratite-Type UL Metallic Liquid tight Flexible Conduit manufactured by Southwire Company may be used for the installation and protection of conductors rated at 600-Volt nominal, or less, for conductors of motor feeders, branch, and control circuits, applications where the conditions of installation requires flexibility or protection from liquids, solids, vapors or weather in concealed or exposed locations, applications requiring movement and tight bends, for direct burial or for concrete encasement, for electric signs, where necessary for flexible connections within hazardous locations in accordance with NEC Article 501, 502 and 503, boat yards and marinas in accordance with NEC 555.13, cranes and hoists in accordance with NEC 610.11, elevators, dumbwaiters, escalators, moving walkways and stairways, chair lifts in accordance with NEC 620.21, for flexible connections to swimming pool, spa and hot tubs in accordance with NEC 680.
