NEW Spears 435-B Series PVC Pipe Fitting Adapter Schedule 40 Black 1" Socket x 1" NPT Female $5.24 $6.95 This Spears adapter pipe fitting, in black, is made of schedule 40 PVC and has a socket end connection and a female NPT end connection. This adapter fitting connects pipes or fittings with different end types. It has a female socket connection on one end for sliding over a male unthreaded pipe and female National Pipe Taper (NPT) threads on the other for connecting to a male threaded pipe. The socket end connects to pipes with a smooth bore for enhanced flow and the NPT threads create a tighter seal than straight threads. This schedule 40 (standard wall) fitting is made of PVC (polyvinyl chloride) for corrosion resistance, high strength, and less weight than fittings made from metal.
