Gorgeous and fully functional: This microtome made by the Spencer Lens Co. of Buffalo NY is in perfect working order. Unlike modern microtomes that keep their inner workings hidden, this one presents them proudly.  It is truly fascinating to watch this machine at work.   It has been in a college laboratory closet for the last 70 years and has remained in fantastic condition.  With a little elbow grease and a soft cloth, it will be ready for a museum display case (if that's your intention). Otherwise, with the proper knife, it is ready to start slicing some samples. All parts and mechanisms move freely and as they should.  If you have any questions, please let us know.  This device is quite heavy (33 pounds).  It will be shipped carefully though FedEx or may be picked up free of charge. All of our auctions have a 14 day money back return policy if you are not happy.
